Blues legende Buddy Guy brengt op 15 juni zijn nieuwe studioalbum uit, ‘The Blues Is Alive And Well’. Op het album staan gastoptredens van o.a. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck en James Bay. Het album verschijnt op Silvertone/RCA Record en is geproduceerd door Tom Hambridge. ‘The Blues Is Alive And Well’ is de opvolger van het album ‘Born To Play Guitar’ uit 2015. Dit album bereikte de nummer 1 positie in de Billboards Top Blues Album charts.
Buddy Guy, 81 jaar oud, is in zijn 50-jarige carrière bekroond met o.a. 8 Grammy’s, de 2015 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award en is ingevoerd in de Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Ondanks zijn hoge leeftijd tourt hij nog volop.
